2013+ Focus ST Transmission Rebuild
No, you do not have to completely replace your transmission when a gear goes out. Our transmission rebuilds consist of tearing down the transmission to diagnose damages and faults within the machinery. We replace the original synchros with ones lined with carbon fiber and then replace all the bearings, the seals, and finally fill back up with DCT fluid for you to reinstall into your Focus. Keep in mind that now is a good time to add an LSD to your transmission if you’ve been on the fence. Just make sure to select the LSD option from the dropdown menu and we’ll get that ordered for you.
Please keep in mind that this covers the basic rebuild of your transmission. If any damages or faults are found upon inspection, there will be separate incidental charges for gears/synchro sleeves/etc. that must be replaced for proper function.
